20-year-old Jasleen Kaur fetched limelight across the social media for the ‘bravery’ she portrayed by filing a report against a man who allegedly eve-teased her and threatened to harm her if she raised a voice. In appreciation of her bravery, it was even announced that she would be rewarded with Rs. 5000. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal too appreciated her guts.
The social media fanatics went bonkers with the incident and even found the guy’s profile on Facebook. ANI filed a news report, which identified the guy on whom she laid allegations. The guy was 26-year-old Saravjit Singh. The Tilak Nagar police booked him under Sections 354A (punishment for sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC.
However, as the media dwelled into the story further, the truth of this twisted tale was revealed. The accused Saravjit Singh’s mother said that the accusations filed against her son were false. She then revealed that the girl is actually an Aam Aadmi Party member who had an argument with him at the traffic signal. She commented that the girl is doing all this for publicity. After digging through the girl’s Facebook profile, many found out that she is an AAPtard and is doing this only for gaining cheap publicity.
Saravjit later gave a statement to the media and stated that he was on the traffic signal at Tilak Nagar and had to take a left so he was standing towards the left. The girl who was managing traffic at the square had an argument with him and then later clicked his picture. He posted the following comment on Facebook:

This incident is making people doubt the legitimacy of eve-teasing cases. Our friend, Mohul Ghosh summed it up in very straight forward manner.
So, how does an attention seeker female fulfill her fantasies of becoming the national news for 24 hours? Yes! Click a guy’s photo, make up an exciting story, and boom! The Rohtak Girls’ destroyed the career of would-be-police constables by saying lies; that American writer in Mumbai created a false story of a guy doing ding-dong when he was merely peeing between two cars; and now a DU election candidate in Delhi shared a false story about a biker molesting her. Just like few bad guys who can’t control their hormones are putting up bad name for the entire species; few evil women with an illness of fabricating stories are destroying the trust and belief of the fairer species. God save our country!
It’s really shameful to see how girls are abusing the law made for their security. They have to understand in future nobody will take a stand to defend the real needy because of all these.
