Going Viral: This Flutist proved her skills when a butterfly landed on her face during an International Flute Competition
Japanese-born flutist Yuki Ota, 29, failed to faze as a butterfly landed on her face and proved her skills while performing at the Carl Nielsen International Flute Competition in Odense, Denmark.
After 30 seconds into her performance, the butterfly landed on Ota’s face and waving its wings for a full minute. At the end of her performance, Ota brush the butterfly off with her hand. Her performance has since gone viral.
Odense Symphony Orchestra posted on YouTube: “What a moment yesterday! Japanase Youkie Ota was joined by a butterfly on stage, that seemed to enjoy her playing a lot waving its wings to Sancan’s Sonatine for flute and piano.”
