To all the Steve Jobs loyalists, fan followers, and admirers,
The longest wait and your years of speculation has come to an end. The official poster of Steve Jobs’ biopic is out. In the Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle’s film, style has been kept to the minimal just like Jobs did, and Michael Fassbender has been posing ditto like Jobs did. Also, the Steve way, it has a lot of white space. This looks quite similar to the book it is based on by Walter Isaacson.
The press note states, “Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.” Though there have been films featuring Jobs in the past, this one has a huge star-cast, both behind the scenes and on camera. Fassbender is a good choice for portraying Jobs’ persona, although he doesn’t look a lot like Jobs, but maybe everyone has now accepted him in the role.
The movie also stars Kate Winslet. She acts as the former Mac marketing chief Joanna Hoffman. Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, the controversial bit of it is that Wozniak said he’s never said the stuff he’s seen to be saying in the trailer. Other stars include Jeff Daniels as John Sculley, Katherine Waterston as Jobs’ ex-girlfriend Chrisann Brennan, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, one of the original members of the Apple Macintosh development team.
After looking at all the inaccurate Jobs films in the past, we can’t just wait to go catch this one!
