An animation that shows how Rosetta will drop the Philae lander to the surface of the Comet
The Rosetta Mission will be one of the most extraordinary achievements in space history.
This animation from ESA shows how craft named Rosetta will drop the Philae lander to the surface of the Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko and deploying its own three legs.
The main purpose of this mission is to further conduct research into the solar system’s history as it predates 4.6 billion years of existence, and to better understand our solar system with a view to conquer it.
