According to the US intelligence Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 has crashed in Ukraine on Thursday, on the border with Russia, with 298 people onboard. This has the potential to become a serious international crisis if the plane was shot down by either the Ukrainian government or by the Russia-backed separatists who are currently fighting in eastern Ukraine. It has yet to be verified.
