The New York Post uploaded a three-minute fight video, captured by safari-goers in the South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.
This nail-biting footage show, a baby elephant who was separated from its herd managed to survive a brutal attack by 14 hungry lionesses at the Norman Carr Safaris Chinzombo Camp in Zambia.
The Safari tour guide said of the incident: “In the 30-plus years I have been a safari guide in Zambia at the South Luangwa Park, never have I seen anything like this.”
According to the New York Post, the elephant earned a new nickname Hercules for his heroic actions, and has since been reunited with its herd.
‘We were all so worried the elephant would be killed right before us. What a fighter. It fought off all 14 lions – incredible.’
